Conexões Amazônicas - UFRGS 2019
This was an interdisciplinary scientific popularization event, which lasted one day, and was open to the whole community (academic and non-academic).
The event Conexões Amazônicas – UFRGS was organized by UFRGS researchers from different science disciplines. Our aim was to have a meeting with presentations about Amazon-related researchers developed at UFRGS.
Researchers from different scientific disciplines participated in the event, including sociology, water resources, ecology, zoology, genetics, journalism, laws, chemistry, glaciology, human ecology and ethnobiology.
With the Conexões Amazônicas – UFRGS 2019 event, we had two main goals: 1) Communicate ongoing or past scientific studies that were carried out at UFRGS in the context of Amazonia, and which could foster its sustainable development; 2) Create opportunities of collaboration among researchers, and to draw the attention of future Amazon researchers.
