Isso acontece devido ao aumento do volume de \u00e1gua nos rios, que transbordam e inundam grandes \u00e1reas de florestas ribeirinhas todos os anos, transformando ambientes terrestres em ambientes aqu\u00e1ticos por v\u00e1rios meses. A vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o nesse ambiente precisa ser adaptada \u00e0s inunda\u00e7\u00f5es, e muitas esp\u00e9cies de plantas regulam seus ciclos de vida de acordo com o ciclo dos rios.<\/p><blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Mesmo com as grandes mudan\u00e7as no ambiente, h\u00e1 muitos animais terrestres, sem habilidades para a vida aqu\u00e1tica, que se aventuram em viver nestes locais por toda a sua vida.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p>Mas assim como o ambiente \u00e9 sazonal, o comportamento e uso do ambiente por estes animais tamb\u00e9m precisam ser sazonais. Ent\u00e3o, sabendo que o ambiente permanece alagado por meses e que grande parte da floresta fica submersa e indispon\u00edvel para animais exclusivamente terrestres, como essas esp\u00e9cies se adaptam e vivem nas v\u00e1rzeas amaz\u00f4nicas?<\/p><p>Para os <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aracn%C3%ADdeos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aracn\u00eddeos<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, como as aranhas e opili\u00f5es, j\u00e1 h\u00e1 algumas respostas, e \u00e9 incr\u00edvel como cada esp\u00e9cie pode utilizar diferentes estrat\u00e9gias para sobreviver. Existem aranhas que possuem seu ciclo de vida sincronizado com o ciclo anual da inunda\u00e7\u00e3o. Quando est\u00e1 seco, as aranhas colonizam o solo da floresta, alimentam-se e reproduzem-se entre as folhas ca\u00eddas. Quando a \u00e1gua come\u00e7a a subir, essas aranhas j\u00e1 est\u00e3o no fim de sua vida, e s\u00e3o seus filhotes que permanecem na floresta, subindo nas \u00e1rvores e ocupando o ambiente vertical dispon\u00edvel acima da linha da \u00e1gua. Nas \u00e1rvores, os filhotes crescem e, quando a \u00e1gua come\u00e7a a descer, eles recolonizam o solo assim como seus pais haviam feito. H\u00e1 tamb\u00e9m um <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/faunanews.com.br\/pseudoescorpiones-os-escorpioes-falsos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pseudoescorpi\u00e3o<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (tamb\u00e9m chamado de \u201cfalso escorpi\u00e3o\u201d) que utiliza uma estrat\u00e9gia diferente. Ele habita o solo e l\u00e1 permanece quando a floresta \u00e9 alagada, no entanto, este pseudoescorpi\u00e3o regula sua fisiologia do corpo para permanecer em um estado de dorm\u00eancia na cheia, e volta a despertar no per\u00edodo seco.<\/p><p>As adapta\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o se limitam aos aracn\u00eddeos, elas tamb\u00e9m foram observadas nas aves, um dos grupos mais biodiversos e estudados do mundo. No entanto, at\u00e9 pouco tempo n\u00e3o se sabia sobre as adapta\u00e7\u00f5es das <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/conexoesamazonicas.org\/en\/aves-das-varzeas_amazonicas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aves a estes ambientes ef\u00eameros das\u00a0florestas de v\u00e1rzea<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Embora seja f\u00e1cil imaginar que as aves simplesmente poderiam deixar a regi\u00e3o voando, na realidade, a complexidade \u00e9 maior devido \u00e0 grande diversidade de esp\u00e9cies de aves, o que implica em diversos comportamentos e h\u00e1bitos de vida. Um caso que chama a aten\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o as aves que se alimentam de insetos (<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peritoanimal.com.br\/animais-insetivoros-caracteristicas-e-exemplos-23078.html#:~:text=As%20aves%20inset%C3%ADvoras%20s%C3%A3o%2C%20geralmente,o%20pica%2Dpau%2Dverde.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inset\u00edvoras<\/a><\/span><\/strong>) e que vivem no sub-bosque da floresta, ou seja, em um estrato mais pr\u00f3ximo ao ch\u00e3o da floresta. Foto: Ana\u00eds Prestes<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-61372ce3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"61372ce3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-603004d6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"603004d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At\u00e9 ent\u00e3o, o que se sabia \u00e9 que esp\u00e9cies de aves inset\u00edvoras de sub-bosque s\u00e3o as mais sens\u00edveis a mudan\u00e7as do ambiente, principalmente as esp\u00e9cies que vivem em <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.embrapa.br\/busca-de-noticias\/-\/noticia\/81899246\/areas-de-terra-firme-na-amazonia-brasileira-sao-pouco-conhecidas-pela-ciencia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">terra firme<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, um ambiente que n\u00e3o est\u00e1 sujeito a inunda\u00e7\u00f5es. Essas esp\u00e9cies s\u00e3o as primeiras a desaparecerem da regi\u00e3o quando h\u00e1 algum dist\u00farbio no ambiente, muitas vezes evitando, inclusive, locais pr\u00f3ximos \u00e0 borda da floresta. Se essas esp\u00e9cies de aves s\u00e3o t\u00e3o especializadas em viver apenas no sub-bosque da floresta, sendo sens\u00edveis a bordas e mantendo-se longe do dossel, como se adaptam quando seu ambiente de prefer\u00eancia est\u00e1 inabit\u00e1vel?<\/p><p>Para entender isso, realizamos um estudo com cinco esp\u00e9cies de aves inset\u00edvoras de sub-bosque das \u00e1reas de florestas de v\u00e1rzea do baixo <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pt.aguasamazonicas.org\/bacia\/bacias-principais\/purus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rio Purus<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p><blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Descobrimos que essas aves permanecem no ambiente mesmo no per\u00edodo da cheia, e a sua principal adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o vertical na floresta, que ocorre do per\u00edodo da seca para cheia. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p>Ou seja, como a floresta \u00e9 alta, h\u00e1 uma parte da vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o que n\u00e3o fica submersa, ent\u00e3o as esp\u00e9cies ocupam uma altura da floresta quando est\u00e1 cheio de \u00e1gua e outra altura quando est\u00e1 seco. Apesar dessa movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o, cada esp\u00e9cie possui sua prefer\u00eancia em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 altura em que habita na floresta, algumas mais altas e outras mais pr\u00f3ximas da linha da \u00e1gua.<\/p><p>Mesmo com a movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o vertical na vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o, algumas aves procuram permanecer em locais com a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o do micro-habitat, o local espec\u00edfico dentro ambiente maior, muito parecido com as que habitavam na seca. E outras esp\u00e9cies podem se adaptar ainda mais, procurando habitar locais espec\u00edficos com a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o mais densa e fechada na cheia, comparada com os ambientes mais abertos que preferem na seca.<\/p><blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #003300;\">Os resultados da pesquisa evidenciam que as aves de sub-bosque das v\u00e1rzeas s\u00e3o altamente adaptadas \u00e0s grandes mudan\u00e7as sazonais da floresta. <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p>Quando a \u00e1gua sobe, o espa\u00e7o vertical da floresta para as aves diminui. As aves se adaptam movendo-se verticalmente, procurando ocupar parte desse espa\u00e7o dispon\u00edvel, algumas preferindo ficar pr\u00f3ximas \u00e0 linha da \u00e1gua, enquanto outras optam por \u00e1reas mais elevadas na vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o. Juntamente com elas, muitos insetos do solo e dos troncos tamb\u00e9m se adaptam, movendo-se verticalmente. Isso pode ser vantajoso para as aves, uma vez que muitos desses insetos s\u00e3o suas presas.
