Um exemplo disso \u00e9 a mudan\u00e7a que o desmatamento causa nos rios voadores da Amaz\u00f4nia.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O termo rios voadores se popularizou no final dos anos 90, ap\u00f3s uma s\u00e9rie de estudos e do projeto <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riosvoadores.com.br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Expedi\u00e7\u00e3o Rios Voadores<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> que teve como um dos objetivos a dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o dessa ci\u00eancia para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o. A umidade que chega na floresta amaz\u00f4nica \u00e9 provida pela grande evapora\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua que ocorre no oceano Atl\u00e2ntico Tropical, sendo transportada pelos ventos para dentro do continente. A floresta amaz\u00f4nica ir\u00e1, atrav\u00e9s da pr\u00f3pria \u201cfabrica\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1gua\u201d pela evapotranspira\u00e7\u00e3o das \u00e1rvores, abastecer e manter esse \u201crio\u201d. Como o relevo a oeste \u00e9 extremamente montanhoso (onde est\u00e1 a Cordilheira do Andes), essa umidade \u00e9 barrada e muda de dire\u00e7\u00e3o, indo para as regi\u00f5es centro-oeste, sudeste e parte do sul do Brasil, principalmente ao longo do ver\u00e3o destas regi\u00f5es (meses de dezembro, janeiro e fevereiro). Desse modo, a grande quantidade de \u00e1gua que \u00e9 transportada pela atmosfera nesse processo pode ser comparada a um rio na superf\u00edcie, por isso o termo &#8220;rios voadores&#8221;. Sendo assim, o avan\u00e7o do desmatamento na Amaz\u00f4nia influ\u00eancia na umidade que \u00e9 transportada para essas \u00e1reas , afetando todo o regime de chuvas, as quais s\u00e3o indispens\u00e1veis para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o dessa regi\u00e3o que concentra as maiores \u00e1reas agr\u00edcolas e de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia do pa\u00eds (centro-oeste, sudeste e parte do sul).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c1reas com floresta s\u00e3o conhecidas por sua biodiversidade, com milhares de esp\u00e9cies de animais, fungos e plantas. As atividades ecossist\u00eamicas desenvolvidas nesse bioma est\u00e3o em completa sintonia entre biosfera e atmosfera, cada qual com sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o, por exemplo, \u00e1rvores maduras retiram grande quantidade de di\u00f3xido de carbono e isto auxilia no resfriamento da atmosfera. A floresta tem papel importante no sequestro de di\u00f3xido de carbono (CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) da atmosfera, o qual armazena em seu solo e utiliza em seus processos fisiol\u00f3gicos, como por exemplo a fotoss\u00edntese, produ\u00e7\u00e3o de frutos e de folhas. Quando a floresta \u00e9 desmatada, esse carbono retorna para a atmosfera e gera diversas mudan\u00e7as no clima de curto e longo prazo, as quais t\u00eam sido reportadas nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas pelos relat\u00f3rios do Painel Intergovernamental para a Mudan\u00e7a de Clima (<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IPCC<\/a><\/strong><\/span>) e outras institui\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ffc347 elementor-drop-cap-yes elementor-drop-cap-view-default elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4ffc347\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;drop_cap&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote><span style=\"color: #003300;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muitos pesquisadores acreditam que chegamos ao <strong>ponto de inflex\u00e3o do clima global<\/strong>, como indicado em um recente artigo publicado na revista <\/span><a style=\"color: #003300;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41558-022-01545-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Nature Climate Change<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span> <\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O estudo concluiu que, mesmo que par\u00e1ssemos agora com toda a emiss\u00e3o de gases do efeito estufa, as consequ\u00eancias do aumento da temperatura global seriam irrecuper\u00e1veis. Em outras palavras, isso causaria diversas altera\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o somente no clima, mas em diversas rela\u00e7\u00f5es para a vida no planeta Terra. Em termos sociais, as perdas seriam irrepar\u00e1veis, principalmente nos pa\u00edses que apresentam alta vulnerabilidade (como o Brasil), com baix\u00edssimas pr\u00e1ticas de combate \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas, o que tamb\u00e9m foi relatado em<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">um artigo recentemente publicado na revista <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s13753-022-00394-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><i><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">International Journal of Disaster Risk Science<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Baseado nesses fatos, estudamos conjuntamente os impactos dos efeitos do desmatamento da floresta amaz\u00f4nica e do aquecimento global (aumento da temperatura ocasionado pelo aumento das concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400 \"><sub>2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> atmosf\u00e9rico) no clima da Amaz\u00f4nia. O nosso estudo, publicado na revista <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1002\/joc.7929\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><i>International Journal of Climatology<\/i><\/b><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, foi baseado em um cen\u00e1rio futuro em que o planeta estar\u00e1 2\u00b0C mais quente do que no per\u00edodo pr\u00e9-industrial (1861-1880). <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Esta situa\u00e7\u00e3o futura foi definida com base em uma metodologia chamada \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/helixclimate.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Projeto HELIX<\/span><\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d e possivelmente ser\u00e1 atingida devido a toda a quantidade de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400 \"><sub>2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> que j\u00e1 foi lan\u00e7ado para a atmosfera nas \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas. Dessa forma, foram simulados tr\u00eas diferentes cen\u00e1rios futuros (caminhos que s\u00e3o seguidos baseados pela interfer\u00eancia humana). O primeiro, no qual o valor das concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400 \"><sub>2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> atmosf\u00e9rico \u00e9 dobrado (776 ppm), com o objetivo de for\u00e7ar o modelo atmosf\u00e9rico a ter uma alta concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400 \"><sub>2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> em pouco tempo. O segundo, representando a convers\u00e3o total da floresta amaz\u00f4nica por pastagem, com o objetivo de entender como as dr\u00e1sticas altera\u00e7\u00f5es na paisagem se comportam. E, por fim, o terceiro, que considera as duas situa\u00e7\u00f5es anteriores ocorrendo conjuntamente. Estes cen\u00e1rios podem parecer distantes, mas compreender cen\u00e1rios dr\u00e1sticos auxiliam na prepara\u00e7\u00e3o de medidas de adapta\u00e7\u00e3o e mitiga\u00e7\u00e3o para a sociedade.<\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #003300;\">Os resultados indicaram que ocorreria superaquecimento de toda a Bacia Amaz\u00f4nica nos cen\u00e1rios simulados, entre 3\u00b0C e 6.5\u00b0C na m\u00e9dia. Isso sugere uma inflex\u00e3o nas condi\u00e7\u00f5es de vida na \u00e1rea. Tal resultado indica que a alta concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de CO<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> na atmosfera altera o padr\u00e3o de funcionamento da vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o, mais precisamente o mecanismo respons\u00e1vel pela troca de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0e \u00e1gua entre superf\u00edcie e atmosfera, papel desenvolvido por estruturas presentes na superf\u00edcie das folhas chamadas\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mundoeducacao.uol.com.br\/biologia\/estomatos.htm#:~:text=Os%20est%C3%B4matos%20s%C3%A3o%20estruturas%20observadas,o%20vegetal%20e%20a%20atmosfera.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>est\u00f4matos<\/b><\/a>. Os est\u00f4matos s\u00e3o respons\u00e1veis por captar CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0e liberar vapor d&#8217;\u00e1gua para a atmosfera. Como a concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de di\u00f3xido de carbono \u00e9 muito alta, os est\u00f4matos passam mais tempo fechados, ou seja, esse excesso cria um bloqueio em seu funcionamento, o que resulta numa grande redu\u00e7\u00e3o da evapotranspira\u00e7\u00e3o. Esse efeito na floresta pode ser comparado ao desmatamento completo da floresta amaz\u00f4nica nos valores projetados das chuvas, podendo reduzir em mais de 1\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brasilescola.uol.com.br\/matematica\/calculo-volume-chuvas.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>mm\/dia<\/b><\/a>. Em outras palavras, tanto o desmatamento quanto a alta concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sub>2<\/sub><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0na atmosfera podem desencadear efeitos similares para o clima.<\/span>\n\nCom todos os impactos no clima relatados, o mecanismo de transporte de umidade para o centro-oeste, sul e sudeste do Brasil sofreria grandes altera\u00e7\u00f5es em seu padr\u00e3o m\u00e9dio. O fluxo de umidade (o \u201crio voador\u201d) para os estados do sudeste se enfraqueceria, enquanto o fluxo para o sul ficaria mais forte, o que afetaria todo sistema agr\u00edcola e de gera\u00e7\u00e3o de energia do pa\u00eds.\n\nMedidas de adapta\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o urgentes para preparar a sociedade a essa nova realidade. Al\u00e9m disso, o avan\u00e7o do desmatamento na floresta amaz\u00f4nica, assim como em todas as florestas tropicais, precisa ser contido o mais r\u00e1pido poss\u00edvel. Ao mesmo tempo, \u00e9 preciso iniciar um processo urgente de restaura\u00e7\u00e3o de biomas.
