Atualmente, sabe-se que a posi\u00e7\u00e3o e intensidade das anomalias (diferen\u00e7a entre o valor observado e a m\u00e9dia hist\u00f3rica) das temperaturas da superf\u00edcie do mar modificam o impacto e os padr\u00f5es de <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/rmets.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1002\/joc.3519\">anomalias <\/a>de <a href=\"https:\/\/rmets.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1002\/joc.7688\">precipita\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Muitas pessoas, principalmente agricultores, j\u00e1 conhecem os impactos desses fen\u00f4menos e quando escutam sobre um epis\u00f3dio El Ni\u00f1o, j\u00e1 esperam menos chuva na regi\u00e3o Norte da Am\u00e9rica do Sul, regi\u00e3o que engloba a Amaz\u00f4nia. Esse \u00e9 o impacto esperado do epis\u00f3dio can\u00f4nico (tamb\u00e9m conhecido como ENOS Leste). Por\u00e9m, alguns estudos j\u00e1 indicaram que se as anomalias de temperatura estiverem mais para o oeste (tamb\u00e9m conhecido como ENOS Central)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">esse padr\u00e3o pode ser menos intenso, ou at\u00e9 mesmo n\u00e3o existir na maior parte da Amaz\u00f4nia.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nos \u00faltimos tr\u00eas anos (2020-2021, 2021-2022 e 2022-2023) houve a ocorr\u00eancia do fen\u00f4meno La Ni\u00f1a<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(resfriamento do Pacifico equatorial) de maneira mais intensa na por\u00e7\u00e3o leste. O <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov\/products\/analysis_monitoring\/enso_advisory\/strengths\/index.php\">\u00edndice que mede a intensidade desse fen\u00f4meno<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, atingiu um valor m\u00ednimo de -1,3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00b0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> em <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2020. A \u00faltima vez que houve tr\u00eas anos seguidos de La Ni\u00f1a foi em meados de 1998 a in\u00edcio de 2001. Esses \u00faltimos tr\u00eas anos tiveram chuvas acima da m\u00e9dia na parte norte da Amaz\u00f4nia, independente da esta\u00e7\u00e3o, que \u00e9 o padr\u00e3o esperado para anos de La Ni\u00f1a. Em outubro deste ano, a NOAA anunciou que h\u00e1 uma probabilidade de 83% desse evento ser um El Ni\u00f1o forte, ou seja, que as temperaturas da superf\u00edcie do mar na regi\u00e3o equatorial do Pacifico atinjam valores superiores a 1,5\u00b0C acima da m\u00e9dia hist\u00f3rica, com possibilidade de ultrapassarem 2\u00b0C, o que configuraria um Super El Ni\u00f1o. Historicamente, Super El Ni\u00f1os ocorreram em 1982\/1983, 1997\/1998 e 2015\/2016 (como pode ser observado na primeira imagem desta publica\u00e7ao) deixando a temperatura global mais alta. Esse \u00e9 um dos motivos para o ano de 2016 ser um dos anos mais quentes j\u00e1 registrados. O evento de 2015\/2016 esteve diretamente relacionado a uma seca severa na Amaz\u00f4nia, que favoreceu o epis\u00f3dio de inc\u00eandio que devastou cerca de 740 mil hectares de floresta na regi\u00e3o pr\u00f3xima a Santar\u00e9m, Par\u00e1. Isso se d\u00e1 porque Super El Ni\u00f1os t\u00eam a capacidade de influenciar o padr\u00e3o de anomalias de temperatura da superf\u00edcie do mar em outras bacias, como a do Atl\u00e2ntico Tropical. As anomalias no Atl\u00e2ntico, por sua vez, exercem influ\u00eancia na circula\u00e7\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica regional e, consequentemente, sobre o padr\u00e3o de chuva esperado na Amaz\u00f4nia em determinada \u00e9poca do ano.<\/span><\/p><blockquote><p><strong>Considerando as previs\u00f5es e o comportamento observado em eventos passados, o segundo semestre de 2023 e o primeiro semestre de 2024 devem estar sob a influ\u00eancia de um fen\u00f4meno El Ni\u00f1o de forte intensidade. Sendo assim, a regi\u00e3o amaz\u00f4nica deve ter menos chuva do que a m\u00e9dia hist\u00f3rica, principalmente nas suas partes Norte e Leste, e com temperatura do ar acima da m\u00e9dia. Por fim, vale lembrar que quanto mais intenso for o evento, mais intenso s\u00e3o seus impactos sobre o acumulado de chuvas na Amaz\u00f4nia.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desse modo, os atuais impactos j\u00e1 devem ser um reflexo da ocorr\u00eancia do fen\u00f4meno ENOS. Ou seja, os n\u00edveis dos rios amaz\u00f4nicos devem continuar baixos, devido ao baixo acumulado de chuva nos pr\u00f3ximos meses.
