Na natureza, intera\u00e7\u00f5es como esta s\u00e3o parte de processos fundamentais <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/esajournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1890\/15-2147.1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">para a exist\u00eancia e perman\u00eancia das florestas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Animais tamb\u00e9m se beneficiam por terem alimento dispon\u00edvel. Fotos de Liana Rossi\/RAS.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c93483e elementor-widget elementor-widget-spacer\" data-id=\"c93483e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"spacer.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-spacer-inner\"><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ae8342 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5ae8342\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Registrar intera\u00e7\u00f5es de frugivoria n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma tarefa f\u00e1cil, especialmente na Floresta Amaz\u00f4nica, a maior floresta tropical e com a <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/hiperdiversidade.ambiental.media\/\">maior biodiversidade do planeta<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u00c1rvores <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/super.abril.com.br\/ciencia\/arvore-mais-alta-da-amazonia-e-da-altura-de-um-predio-de-26-andares\/\">que podem ultrapassar 70 metros de altura<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/conbio.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1111\/j.1523-1739.2005.00705.x\">um n\u00famero elevado de esp\u00e9cies<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, tanto de plantas (ao menos <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">40.000 esp\u00e9cies), como de <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">animais (s\u00e3o mais de <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">400 esp\u00e9cies de mam\u00edferos e quase 1.300 de aves),<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> tornam o registro dessas intera\u00e7\u00f5es uma tarefa ainda mais desafiadora. Para al\u00e9m destas adversidades, fatores como <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1038\/nature18326\">o avan\u00e7o da fronteira agr\u00edcola v\u00eam intensificando o desmatamento e a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o da floresta amaz\u00f4nica<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Em 2021, s\u00f3 no m\u00eas de maio, <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oeco.org.br\/salada-verde\/em-apenas-um-mes-desmatamento-na-amazonia-aumentou-70\">a \u00e1rea total de floresta amaz\u00f4nica que foi derrubada equivale \u00e0 \u00e1rea da cidade do Rio de Janeiro<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Al\u00e9m disso, os efeitos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 s\u00e3o sentidos na regi\u00e3o, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/gcb.14872\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>intensificando<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e tornando mais frequente os <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oc.eco.br\/serie-revela-nova-realidade-das-queimadas-na-amazonia\/\">inc\u00eandios florestais na Amaz\u00f4nia<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neste cen\u00e1rio, o foco principal da pesquisa que trago aqui no Blog do Conex\u00f5es Amaz\u00f4nicas \u00e9 aprofundar o conhecimento sobre a intera\u00e7\u00e3o ecol\u00f3gica de frugivoria e dispers\u00e3o de sementes em florestas da Amaz\u00f4nia. Em<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> conjunto com o grupo de pesquisadores(as)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> da <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasnetwork.org\">Rede Amaz\u00f4nia Sustent\u00e1vel <\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(RAS) que h\u00e1 mais de uma d\u00e9cada estuda os impactos da degrada\u00e7\u00e3o e da perda da floresta sobre biodiversidade da regi\u00e3o<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">buscamos entender como este tipo de intera\u00e7\u00e3o entre fauna e flora \u00e9 impactada pela degrada\u00e7\u00e3o e pelos inc\u00eandios florestais e quais s\u00e3o as consequ\u00eancias para a regenera\u00e7\u00e3o desses ambientes.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e1 diversos m\u00e9todos para estudar o processo de frugivoria e dispers\u00e3o de sementes, desde m\u00e9todos como captura de animais e an\u00e1lise estomacal ou das fezes, at\u00e9 m\u00e9todos menos invasivos como os observacionais. Para conduzir este estudo, utilizamos dois m\u00e9todos: observa\u00e7\u00e3o direta atrav\u00e9s de caminhadas ao longo de trilhas e uso de armadilhas fotogr\u00e1ficas pr\u00f3ximo ao ch\u00e3o e na copa das \u00e1rvores. Instalamos mais de 80 c\u00e2meras fotogr\u00e1ficas (tamb\u00e9m chamadas de c\u00e2meras <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">trap<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) em diferentes tipos de florestas em uma \u00e1rea que compreende mais de um milh\u00e3o de hectares na regi\u00e3o do oeste do estado do Par\u00e1 (veja a figura abaixo). Por meio de observa\u00e7\u00f5es diretas e v\u00eddeos, registramos aves e mam\u00edferos se alimentando de frutos em <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/serambientaltingua.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/28\/florestas-primarias-sao-insubstituiveis-para-a-manutencao-da-biodiversidade-tropical\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>florestas prim\u00e1rias<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> desde as mais conservadas, ou seja, que nunca foram impactadas pelos humanos, at\u00e9 florestas que passaram por diferentes dist\u00farbios\u00a0 como a extra\u00e7\u00e3o seletiva de madeira e inc\u00eandios florestais recentes ocorridos no <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Ni\u00f1o<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> de 2015-2016. Por outro lado, esp\u00e9cies de aves como a sa\u00ed-azul (<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikiaves.com.br\/wiki\/sai-azul\"><i>Dacnis cayana<\/i><\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) e a cabe\u00e7a-encarnada (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikiaves.com.br\/wiki\/cabeca-encarnada\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Ceratopipra rubrocapilla<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), e mam\u00edferos como o sagui-branco (<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmbio.gov.br\/portal\/faunabrasileira\/estado-de-conservacao\/7212-mamiferos-mico-argentatus-sagui-argenteo\"><i>Mico argentatus<\/i><\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) e o macaco-prego (<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icmbio.gov.br\/portal\/faunabrasileira\/estado-de-conservacao\/7269-mamiferos-sapajus-apella-macaco-prego\"><i>Sapajus apella<\/i><\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), foram registradas at\u00e9 mesmo em florestas mais antropizadas. Isso significa que estas esp\u00e9cies, mesmo em \u00e1reas mais impactadas, s\u00e3o consumidoras frequentes de frutos e, portanto, s\u00e3o importantes para a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da fun\u00e7\u00e3o de dispers\u00e3o de sementes nessas florestas. Essas mudan\u00e7as podem levar \u00e0 sele\u00e7\u00e3o de um determinado grupo de esp\u00e9cies de plantas e animais (aumentando suas popula\u00e7\u00f5es) ou \u00e0 extin\u00e7\u00e3o de outros que, por sua vez, resultam em <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/besjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1111\/1365-2745.13358\">importantes implica\u00e7\u00f5es para a dispers\u00e3o de sementes<\/a><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
