No estado do Par\u00e1, cora\u00e7\u00e3o da Amaz\u00f4nia Oriental, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ppgeap.propesp.ufpa.br\/ARQUIVOS\/dissertacoes\/2019\/PPGEAP_Dissertac%CC%A7a%CC%83o_Miani%20Corr%C3%AAa%20Quaresma_2019.pdf\">conducted a study<\/a> que revelou uma incr\u00edvel diversidade desses crust\u00e1ceos. Nossa pesquisa reuniu informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a diversidade de camar\u00f5es que habitam ambientes marinhos, estuarinos e de \u00e1gua doce nessa regi\u00e3o. Identificamos 81 esp\u00e9cies de camar\u00f5es, distribu\u00eddas em 17 fam\u00edlias.<\/p><p>No Par\u00e1, as fam\u00edlias Palaemonidae (com 27 esp\u00e9cies) e Penaeidae (com 12 esp\u00e9cies) se destacam, sendo amplamente estudadas dada sua import\u00e2ncia ecol\u00f3gica e econ\u00f4mica. Foto: Miani Quaresma.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d93d92 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3d93d92\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Os camar\u00f5es mais abundantes, com destaque para Palaemonidae e Penaeidae, est\u00e3o listados no \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/crustacea.org.br\/pt\/production\/red-book\/\">Livro Vermelho dos Crust\u00e1ceos do Brasil: Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o 2010-2014<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u201d, publica\u00e7\u00e3o que atribui a cada esp\u00e9cie uma categoria de risco de extin\u00e7\u00e3o. A inclus\u00e3o dessas esp\u00e9cies no Livro Vermelho auxilia estudos e pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas voltadas ao manejo adequado desses crust\u00e1ceos que s\u00e3o utilizados para fins econ\u00f4micos e que habitam as \u00e1guas amaz\u00f4nicas.<\/p><p>Destacamos, ainda, que a singularidade de esp\u00e9cies de crust\u00e1ceos que habitam a Amaz\u00f4nia paraense \u00e9 acentuada quando analisada junto \u00e0 biodiversidade brasileira. No Brasil h\u00e1 2,5 mil esp\u00e9cies de crust\u00e1ceos registradas, de uma biodiversidade total aproximada de 68 mil. Dessa forma, ao se olhar somente a biodiversidade de t\u00e1xons (que englobam diferentes esp\u00e9cies) de camar\u00f5es que a Amaz\u00f4nia paraense abriga representa aproximadamente 3,2% da diversidade em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a biodiversidade total de crust\u00e1ceos, que habitam a extensa costa e bacias brasileiras.<\/p><p>Essa singularidade \u00e9 advinda da fauna paraense e sua diversidade de habitats \u2013 desde as \u00e1guas salobras dos estu\u00e1rios at\u00e9 os vastos rios amaz\u00f4nicos a qual criam ambientes \u00fanicos para uma rica variedade de camar\u00f5es. A maior parte dos estudos concentra-se em esp\u00e9cies de maior porte e com valor comercial, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bdta.ufra.edu.br\/jspui\/bitstream\/123456789\/1315\/1\/CARACTERIZA%C3%87%C3%83O%20DA%20COMERCIALIZA%C3%87%C3%83O%20DO%20CAMAR%C3%83O%20REGIONAL-DA-%20AMAZ%C3%94NIA%20(Macrobrachium%20amazonicum,%20Heller,%201862)%20NAS%20FEIRAS%20DA%20REGI%C3%83O%20METROPOLITANA%20DE%20BEL%C3%89M%20PAR%C3%81-BRASIL.pdf\">como o camar\u00e3o-da-Amaz\u00f4nia<\/a><\/strong><\/span>. H\u00e1 uma car\u00eancia de pesquisas voltadas para as fases iniciais do ciclo de vida dos camar\u00f5es em ambientes naturais, bem como para aqueles que completam seu ciclo na zona pel\u00e1gica (regi\u00e3o oce\u00e2nica habitada por organismos que n\u00e3o dependem do fundo do mar). Essa lacuna limita o entendimento da ecologia desses corpos d\u2019\u00e1gua, entre outros aspectos.<\/p><p><strong>Por que estudar os Camar\u00f5es?<\/strong><\/p><p>Al\u00e9m de sua relev\u00e2ncia ecol\u00f3gica, os camar\u00f5es s\u00e3o bioindicadores \u2013 esp\u00e9cies que ajudam a medir a sa\u00fade dos ecossistemas. Altera\u00e7\u00f5es na composi\u00e7\u00e3o de suas popula\u00e7\u00f5es podem indicar problemas ambientais, como polui\u00e7\u00e3o ou mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas.<\/p><p>Embora nosso estudo tenha evidenciado a rica biodiversidade de camar\u00f5es na Amaz\u00f4nia paraense, \u00e9 fundamental refor\u00e7ar a import\u00e2ncia da conserva\u00e7\u00e3o. A explora\u00e7\u00e3o predat\u00f3ria e a degrada\u00e7\u00e3o dos habitats (como o desmatamento, assoreamento, polui\u00e7\u00e3o dos rios, mudan\u00e7as no regime hidrol\u00f3gico, pesca predat\u00f3ria e altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas que alteram tanto o aumento da temperatura da \u00e1gua como as mudan\u00e7as nos padr\u00f5es de chuva), que colocam diversas esp\u00e9cies em risco, precisam ser cuidadosamente avaliadas. Isso permitir\u00e1 a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas e iniciativas de manejo sustent\u00e1vel, essenciais para proteger essa biodiversidade singular. Al\u00e9m disso, preencher as lacunas de conhecimento sobre os camar\u00f5es amaz\u00f4nicos \u00e9 fundamental para garantir a seguran\u00e7a alimentar das popula\u00e7\u00f5es humanas que habitam as \u00e1reas costeiras da regi\u00e3o.
